Our firm

Do9 runs service operations for companies that would rather not build them. The founder is still in the detail of every engagement.

The firm in numbers

We are young. These are the things we can show you today.

2016

The year Do9 started.

Hyderabad

Hitech City. One office, one team.

Founder-led

You deal with the person accountable for the work.

Why we exist

The test is what happens at three in the morning, when something breaks.

Our mission

Reliable systems, work that stays accurate under load, and automation only where it helps. If your customers never notice us, we have done the job.

Our vision

Software will handle the routine half of service work. What matters is the other half, and whether the people doing it are better equipped or just fewer.

How we operate

Three rules we hold to, including when it loses us the work.
01

We are paid for the outcome, not the headcount

Charging by the seat rewards us for using more people. We agree the outcome instead. Sometimes that means recommending a smaller team than you asked for.

02

Bad months go in the report

Quality dips. Forecasts miss. You will see those months in the report, because a review with only good news is worth nothing.

03

We decide what stays human, first

Every process has work a machine should not own. We find it before we start, not after a customer has paid for the mistake.

How we started

Do9 began by building communication software — the systems that move calls, tickets and messages around a business.

Clients kept coming back with a different request: run it for us. Not the software — the work. That is how the operations side of the firm started, and it is now most of what we do. The order matters. We knew what those systems could and could not carry before we agreed to run anything on them.
